Middle of April, 2008...

It is time to start thinking about fishing again with the weather turning warmer.

The optimum water temperature for the Largemouth Bass to spawn is 65°. With the weather turning warmer, the water temperature should be increasing.

Remember to take it slow on the lakes as there will be logs and trash that was washed off the banks into the water. Some of these logs, etc will be just under the surface of the water and will be a rude awakening if you hit them with your lower unit at 60mph.

I expect the Message Board on Oklahoma Bass Fishing to start getting a lot of traffic with everyone starting to think about fishing. The Message Board is there for anglers to post questions on fishing techniques like drop shotting, etc and to post fishing reports on the Oklahoma Lakes and Lake Fork in Texas. There is also a forum for anglers to post humor and jokes. So be sure and scan the Message Board regularly and to post. There should be no fear in posting in the Message Board as we are all a friendly bunch...
